SEARCH's Community Engagement Project and Team Access to Care are two active committees that have produced multiple reports since the inception of this organization, providing insight to the current healthcare landscape of Mitchell and Yancey Counties.  Click on the orange buttons above for information on each committees' work and links to their reports.

Over several weeks in the summer of 2025, SEARCH, along with a group of volunteers from across the region, completed a Community Assessment for Public Health Emergency Response (CASPER) survey to gather storm impact data following Hurricane Helene.  In collaboration with the Center for Disaster Research at the University of Delaware, SEARCH has produced a report on the results and analysis of this survey.  Click on the orane CASPER Report button above for more details on this study and the full report as a slide presentation.
